Key messages

  • There are currently 209 schools open in the District. This figures does not include independent and Post-16 settings.
  • Since the 2015-16 school year, the on-roll pupil population has averaged at 103,800 each year (based on the annual January School Census).
  • Bradford’s on-roll school population is diverse; both in terms of ethnicity and first languages spoken.
  • In 2021, just over 2,000 two year olds were accessing an early education place.
